Caysafe Shower Multi Filter softens and purifies your shower water and helps you enjoy your shower better. Gentle on sensitive skin, great even for normal skin, this filter significantly reduces harmful unpleasant odors or impurities. Caysafe Shower Multi Filter is a long lasting filter, likely to last at least 6 – 12 months depending on the quality and amount of the water input. According to test results, it can achieve 99.99% dechlorination at the beginning of use and still retain about 35% dechlorination effect after filtering 6000L of water.

Level 1 – Maifan/Mineral Stones
Maifan stones are mineral rocks made largely of silicate minerals, it includes a large capacity of ion exchange and can filter chemical contaminants and heavy soluble metals from water. It releases rich minerals gradually and raises pH alkalinity levels. It is also high in nutrients, trace minerals, and micro-nutrients like iron, magnesium, zinc, copper, and selenium, which are all necessary for human health. It is very effective in the treatment of ulcers and skin cancers. The soluble heavy metals and chemical contaminants adsorption while also releasing rich minerals on the water and boosting pH alkalinity levels gently.

Level 2 – Calcium Sulfite Balls
Absorb impurities and remove residual chlorine and other chemicals. Calcium Sulfite Balls are efficient, safe, high temperature resistant, and antimicrobial.

Level 3 – KDF 55 Process Media
Used in conjunction with activated carbon beads, KDF 55 Process Media filter extends the life of activated carbon balls while protecting the carbon bed against fouling by bacterial growth. They will enhance the performance, extend the life, reduce the maintenance and lower the total cost of many available carbon-based systems. KDF Process Media help control microorganisms by creating an environment that is deadly to some microorganisms and interferes with the ability of many other microorganisms to function. KDF 55 reduces contaminants and bacteria growth.

We can explain redox (oxidation reduction process) like this: KDF Fluid Treatment’s unique combination of copper and zinc creates an electro-chemical reaction. During this reaction, electrons are transferred between molecules, and new elements are created. Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components. Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride, which is then carried harmlessly through the water supply. Similarly, some heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury and others, react to plate out onto the medium’s surface, thus being effectively removed from the water supply.

Level 4 – Activated Carbon Balls
Activated carbon in a spherical shape has a larger surface area that allows active carbon filters to be very effective in absorbing and removing contaminants and other substances. When the water flows through active carbon filters the chemicals stick to the carbon resulting in purer water output. Different from the chemical reaction of KDF, this is a physical adsorption, which can be used in conjunction with KDF to achieve complementary effects.
